Always a consistent contributor during his 13 seasons in the big leagues Cleon Jones is best remembered for catching the final out of the 1969 World Series helping the Amazin Mets defeat the Baltimore Orioles in improbable fashion. That season was a signature year for Jones hitting .340 and starting in Left Field for the National League All-Stars.
