In the bottom of the 11th inning in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS against the Boston Red Sox New York Yankees third baseman Aaron Boone crushed the game-winning home run into the left field stands. Boone joined the Yankees in the middle of the 2003 season and contributed six home r and 31 RBI but it was his solo homer off Tim Wakefield that will forever render him a New York hero.
